According to TikTok data, more than 1.7 billion comments are shared on the platform every day. That is why it makes perfect sense for social networks to keep investing more and more in that section. Audio has been at the heart of TikTok’s success since the beginning. Voice comments will allow users to record and post audio messages of up to 60 seconds directly within any thread.
All users need to do is tap the microphone icon in the comment bar to record their reaction. Once it is posted, any user will be able to play it, turning the comments section into a transmedia space where people do not just read, they listen as well.

Connecting with your audience through questions is the simplest and oldest way to build community. It makes them feel heard and valued. Instagram was already aware of that, which is why for some time now we have had the option to include polls in our posts. Now, a little later, that option is also coming to TikTok.
Creators will be able to publish a poll within the thread of their own videos, add up to five answer choices and set how long the poll will remain open. Results are updated in real time within the comment itself, making it possible to energize the discussion and increase time spent on the post.
Users will no longer have to choose just one photo to react in the comments. They will now be able to upload full albums of up to 9 photos in a single comment (ideal for sharing travel experiences, events, or tutorials).
It allows users to upload moving images directly from their device’s camera roll, showing that brief moment before the still image is captured.
Both polls and Live Photos are already available globally. Meanwhile, voice comments and photo carousels will be rolled out globally over the next month for user accounts belonging to people over 18.
