Edit images and videos from your Google TV with Nano Banana and Veo

Users will also be able to adjust parameters such as brightness, contrast, or television volume through voice commands.

Within the context of CES 2026, Google announced the integration of its Nano Banana and Veo tools into Google TV. This development will allow users to operate voice commands, generate images and videos with artificial intelligence, and modify personal photos without the need for external devices.

Create and personalize from the comfort of your couch

As we have explained in other articles, Nano Banana is the image creation model developed by Gemini, which generates and edits photos using advanced visual reasoning capabilities. On the other hand, with Veo you can create realistic videos with native audio, produce clips from simple prompts, or reuse images stored in your user account.

With the integration of these tools into Google TV, users will now have the ability to edit personal images, apply visual styles, or create audiovisual content directly on their television screens quickly, without needing a mobile phone or computer and without requiring technical knowledge.

Additionally, as it is also integrated with Google Photos, the system enables Nano Banana to access the personal library in order to find specific images, edit them, or create automatic visual presentations related to events, trips, or celebrations.

Gemini enhances the visual experience and voice commands

This update is accompanied by a significant evolution of Gemini on Google TV, which will now provide more visual and contextual responses. From now on, queries made to the assistant may include images, videos, and dynamic content based on the type of search.

Gemini will be able to display real-time sports information, visual summaries, or updated results directly on screen. For more complex topics, Google is introducing so-called in-depth analyses, featuring narrated explanations and interactive elements that allow users to explore subjects step by step from the television.

Television settings through natural language

One of the most practical changes is the introduction of voice commands applied to television settings. With Gemini integrated, users will be able to adjust parameters such as brightness, contrast, or volume by using natural language, without navigating through technical menus.

Expressions such as “the screen is too dark” or “the dialogues cannot be heard clearly” will trigger automatic image or sound adjustments, optimizing the viewing experience in real time. This functionality is designed to improve accessibility and simplify the daily use of Google TV for all users.

How to access Google TV updates

The new features of Nano Banana, Veo, and Gemini on Google TV will begin to roll out on selected TCL television models, with progressive expansion to other compatible devices in the coming months.

In order to access these updates, it will be necessary to have Android TV OS 14 or higher, an active Google account, and an internet connection. Google has specified that availability may vary depending on the country, language, and device model, and that certain features will be enabled gradually.

Google TV adds Xbox Game Pass to compatible models

Along with advancements in artificial intelligence, Google TV is also expanding its entertainment capabilities with the arrival of Xbox Game Pass via cloud gaming. For now, this integration will only be accessible on select TCL television models, enabling users to access the service’s catalog without the need for a physical console.

Although Xbox Game Pass was already available on other smart TV platforms, its integration into Google TV strengthens the commitment to transforming the television into a multifunctional entertainment center, combining streaming, content creation, and gaming within a single interface.
