The Ecommerce Berlin Expo 2025 has concluded with historic numbers and an important announcement: its next edition will be held at Messe Berlin, one of the most important exhibition centers in the world. For the first time in its nine-year history, the event was extended over two days, attracting more than 12,000 attendees and establishing itself as one of the must-attend events in the DACH region.
Since its first edition in 2016, the eCommerce Berlin Expo has positioned itself as a key event for the digital industry in Germany. The 2025 edition marked a turning point with the expansion to two days of activities, allowing a significant increase in participants compared to the previously recorded 10,000 attendees.
The event also received support from local authorities. The inauguration was led by Franziska Giffey, Berlin’s Senator for Economics, Energy, and Enterprises, who announced the event’s relocation to Messe Berlin in 2026. This change represents a qualitative leap for the expo, given that it is a venue that hosts some of the world’s most important trade fairs.
“This year, for the first time, we expanded the expo to two full days, doubling both the content and logistics. I am extremely proud of our team’s work,” declared Mark Tomaszewski, Managing Director of eCommerce Berlin Expo. “However, there is hardly time to rest, as we are already organizing the 10th edition, which will take place at Messe Berlin. While we are very grateful to STATION Berlin for having been our venue until now, we are also excited about the opportunities this new location offers us.”
The 2025 edition brought together more than 150 speakers from leading companies in the industry, such as Microsoft, Google, TikTok, Deloitte, and Amazon. Additionally, well-known brands like REWE, Zalando, MediaMarktSaturn, OTTO, Fielmann, flaconi, Philips, Deutsche Telekom, and IKEA actively participated in the conferences and panel discussions.
Alongside the industry’s giants, there was also space for startups and emerging brands such as Snocks, Waterdrop, KoRo, ON, and Amorelie, which are setting trends in eCommerce. The central theme of the event revolved around differentiation and innovation in challenging times, aiming to provide attendees with tools and strategies to stand out in an increasingly competitive market.
This edition’s conferences and panels addressed the most burning trends in the sector, with a special focus on artificial intelligence applied to digital commerce. Notably featured was a panel that brought together experts from OTTO, Meta, and Glambou, who analyzed the effects of AI on eCommerce. Additionally, another session explored the impact of gaming and immersive technologies on customer experience, with panelists from Arvato Systems, Beiersdorf, and Tabbler participating.
Another highlight was the shop-tech block, where experts from Adobe, Spryker, and Shopware shared their visions on the future of technology applied to eCommerce. As a novelty, this edition also included for the first time a segment dedicated to leadership and inspiration, providing practical tools for industry professionals to lead with greater clarity and confidence.
As every year, the eCommerce Germany Awards recognized the most innovative solutions in the sector in the DACH region. During a gala held on the first night of the event, the best projects in 12 categories were awarded, following a selection process that combined online voting and evaluation by a jury of experts. This committee included representatives from companies like KoRo, Jack Wolfskin, RECUP, GREENFORCE, Kickerkult, and heycater!, as well as members from industry associations, ensuring a rigorous and objective selection.
The 10th edition of the eCommerce Berlin Expo will be held on February 17 and 18, 2026, and will continue to be a free event for attendees. With the move to Messe Berlin, the exhibition is expected to continue growing and to establish itself as an essential event in the eCommerce agenda in Europe.
