Zalando has commenced 2025 with renewed momentum. According to its quarterly earnings report, the company has succeeded in increasing the GMV, with a growth of 6.5%, reaching $3,500 million. The GMV represents the total value of the products sold through the platform, regardless of whether Zalando is the seller or not, and it includes both direct sales (wholesale model) and third-party sales (marketplace model).
Regarding the company’s final revenues, they have increased by 7.9% year-on-year, reaching $2,416 million. The company expects both GMV and revenues to increase between 4% and 9% by the end of 2025.
At the same time, the adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (adjusted EBIT) rose to $46,7 million, corresponding to an increase in margin of 0.7 percentage points to 1.9%. According to the company, this performance confirms the successful direction of the ecosystem that Zalando is building, encompassing everything from customer loyalty to third-party logistics support, remaining competitive against other industry giants. In this regard, the total number of active customers reached 52.4 million, representing an increase of 2.9 million year-on-year (+5.7%).
The B2C channel remains the main driver of Zalando’s growth, reporting revenues that rose by 7.6% to $2,182 million. This growth was driven by a combination of factors: a successful end of season, a strong start to the spring/summer season, and the expansion of the Zalando Plus loyalty program, now active in 13 markets, with more than 15% of clients already enrolled.
At the vertical level, the company recorded double-digit growth in categories such as Lounge by Zalando, Sports, Designer, and Beauty. New collaborations with brands such as Diane von Furstenberg—with an exclusive campaign featuring the designer—and the launch of Marc Jacobs on the platform also stand out.
Finally, its commitment to personalization is reflected in the full deployment of its new “curated boards”, now available in all markets. These editorial experiences have captured the attention of more than one million users, with themes such as “Urban Running” and “New Boho” that connect with current trends.
In the B2B segment, revenues grew by 11.6% to $240 million, with an adjusted EBIT of 6.4 million dollars and a stable margin of 2.4%. This growth continues to be led by the expansion of its logistics service, ZEOS Fulfilment, which encompasses Zalando Fulfilment Solutions (ZFS) and multichannel services.
A key milestone was the selection of ZEOS as the preferred logistics partner of TikTok Shop in Germany, France, and Italy. This alliance marks Zalando’s entry into social commerce, with the first successful launch on TikTok Shop Germany already completed.
