Adobe After Effects

Adobe Premiere Pro

Camtasia

Camtasia is a screen recorder and video editor that is very easy to use if you have no post-production knowledge and is part of the TechSmith company. It offers customized templates, a music library, sound effects and an editor with which you can add titles, effects, animations, transitions, quizzes, PPT presentations, among other elements.

It is compatible with Windows and macOS. You can download and try it for free and if you are convinced, it has different subscription plans, individual, perpetual license or a combination of Camtasia with Audiate that start at $195.

DaVinci Resolve

DaVinci is a non-linear video editing application, although its main use is color correction. It has several modules, each with exclusive tools and workspaces for a particular stage: video editing, color correction, audio/sound effects mixing and visual effects, media and deliveries (with everything needed to import, organize and deliver projects). It has an extremely easy-to-use interface, ideal for beginners, but it is also complete enough for professionals.

It has a free version and a paid version, with many more features, starting at $275. It is compatible with Windows, Linux and macOS.

Final Cut

Final Cut has become one of the benchmark programs for professional video editing.

This Apple software allows users to record and transfer videos to a hard drive (internal or external), where it can be edited, processed and exported in a wide variety of formats. Its simple interface has four windows from which you can search, view, organize and edit different clips and drag them to the timeline. It includes transitions, video and audio filters, and color corrections.

One of its latest additions was the object tracker, capable of detecting faces and objects to match their movement to titles and effects. You can even adjust focus points and depth of field on videos shot with the iPhone 13’s cinema mode.

Also, with the new multi-camera editing you can automatically sync up to 64 video angles with different formats, sizes and frame rates. In addition, when your project has repeated audio or video clips, the corresponding intervals will be highlighted in the timeline. With motion and compressor you can create effects and graphics in Motion, with professional 2D and 3D titles.

It is a paid program (from $349,99), but you can try it for free for 90 days. It is only compatible with macOS.

iMovie

It is another free application from Apple, compatible with iOS and macOS, with which you can easily create videos with excellent results. The tool also helps you to make trailers for your productions.

The creation process is very simple: choose the videos and photos you want to use, add titles, music and sound effects (it includes more than 80 soundtracks), create voiceovers, choose from its 13 video filters and share with whoever you want on any platform. You can make your creations from any Apple device you have and open the project also with Final Cut.

Inshot

Inshot is a mobile application for photo and video editing that is very easy to use, free and compatible with Android and iOS.

With this app you can crop, edit and retouch photos and videos, quickly and easily. Vegas Pro

Formerly known as Sony Vegas, it is a professional video editing program with a customizable interface similar to Premiere or Final Cut, which has all the tools you need for editing, graphic animation, image compositing, live streaming and sound design.

Avidemux

That is to say, the typical functions that one can expect from a free editor: cut, copy or delete fragments of videos, add filters, insert titles, change the size of the files and a long etcetera. Cap Cut

This free app -available for iOS and Android- is the one used by tiktokers to edit their videos. It allows you to change the speed of clips, crop them, rotate them and apply various image adjustments (brightness, contrast, etc.). In addition, it has many stickers, filters and effects, the possibility of adding a virtual background with green background, and a large library of licensed music to use freely.

Clipchamp

Clipchamp is an all-in-one video editor, converter and compressor, which also has a webcam and screen recorder, a Facebook ad creator and different upload solutions (from videos for your YouTube or Vimeo channel to promotional videos for Instagram).
