According to recent data from We Are Social, it is possible to challenge the grip that traditional eCommerce platforms have maintained in recent years through aggressive pricing and logistics strategies. At least that is what it looks like if we focus on the top 10, where we can see that Temu, which has spent months as one of the most downloaded apps in the world, has now claimed second place in monthly visits, surpassed only by Amazon.com
These are the shopping-related domains with the highest global traffic (Domain / Unique Visitors / Monthly Visits), with data from December 2025 to February 2026:
Clearly, the gap with Amazon is still very large, especially when you consider that the eCommerce company founded by Jeff Bezos splits its traffic volume across the different regional websites it operates. Among all of them, Amazon maintains its unquestionable dominance through its main domain (.com), recording more than twice as many monthly visits as Temu. In addition, its presence in massive markets such as India (.in), Brazil (.br), Japan (.jp), and Germany (.de) reinforces its global ecosystem.
There are probably a few names that stand out because they are less familiar in our market, such as Ozon.ru, one of the major players in the Russian market. It is often called the Amazon of Russia because of its business model and enormous reach. It started in 1998 as an online bookstore (coincidentally, just like Amazon), but today it sells absolutely everything: electronics, clothing, food, home products, and cosmetics.
Others that may be less familiar include the Indian giant Flipkart (which we have covered before), Coupang (the leader in Korean eCommerce), and the Brazilian version of Mercado Libre, the major force dominating eCommerce in Latin America, whose story we previously told.
