Amazon has announced that its Prime Big Deal Days event in the United States will begin on October 8 at 12:01 a.m. PDT and will last for 48 hours until October 9. This event will offer Prime members exciting discounts in key categories such as electronics, fashion, home, kitchen, toys, and Amazon devices. With new deals every five minutes during certain periods, users will have plenty of opportunities to save on their early holiday shopping. Additionally, Prime offers exclusive benefits, such as fast shipping and access to entertainment.
Prime members do not have to wait until October 8 to start saving. Early deals are already available in several popular categories, making shopping even more convenient with Prime’s fast and free delivery. Some of the top deals include up to 55% off Amazon devices, such as Blink Outdoor 4 camera systems and Fire TV 2-Series televisions.
With the launch of “Rufus,” a shopping assistant powered by generative artificial intelligence, Amazon aims to help users make more informed purchasing decisions by optimizing the product search and comparison experience. Rufus is available in the Amazon Shopping app for U.S. customers. This is an example of how Amazon continues to innovate to enhance the customer experience.
Prime members can also enjoy discounts on Viator experiences and Carnival cruises, as well as receive 10% cashback on Avis car rental bookings. Additionally, Amazon Music Unlimited is offering up to 4 months free for Prime members, providing access to over 100 million songs and ad-free podcasts. Lastly, users can take advantage of a free Grubhub+ membership, along with $10 off orders over $15 until October 9 by using the code “PRIME10” on their first order.
One of the strong points of this campaign is the personalization of the offers. Customers will be able to access promotions specially designed for them, such as “Offers you might like” or “Offers for you”. In addition, Amazon will facilitate the creation of wish lists through its virtual assistant Alexa. This will allow users to set up alerts on specific products they are interested in, ensuring they don’t miss out on any promotions during the event.
This year, Amazon is also focusing on small businesses. During the Prime Big Deal Days, shoppers can find discounts of up to 30% on products from brands like Made by Johnny and Keranique, as well as other brands owned by women and military families.
Currently, more than 60% of Amazon’s sales come from independent sellers, the majority of whom are small and medium-sized businesses. These collaborations allow for a wider selection of products and competitive prices throughout the year.
This special event will be held simultaneously in countries such as Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, France and even Japan (at the end of October). This international expansion reaffirms the importance of this event within Amazon’s commercial calendar, being one of the key dates for consumers.
