Frequency and average expense in fashion in Mexico

On average, more than 6 (6.6) online purchases are made per year with expenses of $1,559 Mexican pesos, while seniors in the age range (41-55 years) are the people who spend approximately more than $2,000 Mexican pesos.

During the years 2017 and 2018, the frequency and the average expense increased considerably. In 2019 they suffer a drop that continues in 2020, although COVID did not let online sales fall.

The reasons why people buy online are divided into several sections, the first is for themselves (93%), then for their partner (49%), followed by a family member (39%), then their sons or daughters (38%), followed by mother or father (26%), then friends or acquaintances (15%) and finally for the company where they work (2%).
