Now, the collages will have a fresh, updated look to keep up to date with the social media trends.
When uploading a story, the option to select “Collage” will now be available among the various choices at the top of the stories interface: photos, videos, templates, and music. By selecting it, you will be able to choose your favorite images from your gallery to create a collage exactly as you like.
As Matt Navarra explains on his Threads account:

What does this mean? It means you will no longer need to rely on the default collage formats that Instagram has been offering for years. The photos can be arranged in any order—or no particular order at all. You might prefer to place the images in different parts of the screen, with some larger than others, and so on.
It is worth noting that this feature is not entirely new, as it was previously tested within direct message chats.

To be honest, you could already add disorganized images to your story using the “Create” mode, by adding photos from your gallery as stickers. It seems Instagram has taken note of this. After listening to users and identifying their needs, the platform has decided to offer a feature that allows them to do the same thing—but in a much simpler and more streamlined way.
