Moderated by Lara Dewar, Chief Marketing Officer of GSMA, the session will feature Ross Frenett, founder and CEO of Moonshot; Marieke Snoep, market director of consumer and board member of KPN; and Boris Nihom, CEO of Dentsu Benelux. The conference will address current trends in security and disinformation amid increasing polarization and distrust, analyzing the disruptive impact of social media. Advanced detection techniques will be presented that are redefining the field of digital security.

Artificial Intelligence: Myths and Realities – From Geopolitics to Daily Regulations

The session “Artificial Intelligence: Myths and Realities – From Geopolitics to Daily Regulations” will occur on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM CET, at the Founders Stage, Hall 8.0 – 4YFN & Partner Theatres. The speaker will be Carlos Lopez-Blanco, president of ESYS Foundation. Alibaba Cloud International Summit

The Alibaba Cloud International Summit will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:10 PM CET, at Partner Theatre 6, Hall 8.0 – 4YFN & Partner Theatres, during MWC Barcelona. It will delve into trends such as globalization and generative AI technologies, open-source foundational models, reliable security and compliance, and expertise in global innovation.

Speakers include Patrick Liu, senior vice president of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group; Jason Wu, vice president of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group; Lee Sustar, principal analyst at Forrester; Vivetha Natterjee, SDV program manager at Zeekr Technology Europe; Murat Aras, chief marketing officer of ATP; Tina Yu, general manager of Eurasia at Tuya Smart; and Paul Tsang, lead product security solutions architect at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group.

Global Mobile Awards

The Global Mobile Awards 2025 (GLOMO Awards) celebrate their 30th anniversary at MWC Barcelona, recognizing excellence in the mobile and digital industry. This year, 31 awards will be presented across seven categories:

4YFN Awards 2025

The 4YFN Awards 2025 aim to award the best emerging digital companies worldwide. For the 2025 edition, five finalists have been selected, one for each category, standing out for their innovation and use of artificial intelligence as the core of their strategies:

  • Horus ML: Specializes in machine learning solutions for the healthcare sector.
  • Qflow: Offers tools for sustainable management in construction.
  • Bankuish: Provides financial services tailored to independent workers.
  • Rockfish Data: Focused on advanced data analytics.
  • Ramon Space: Develops computing solutions for space applications.

The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 5:00 PM on the Banco Sabadell Stage. The session “The Search Wars: The Race for AI-Powered Search Dominance” will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM CET, at the Turing Stage, Hall 6, during MWC Barcelona. This conference will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming online search, making it an interactive and powerful experience. It will examine competition between major tech companies for leadership in AI-powered search, related privacy and bias challenges, and implications for users and sectors such as digital marketing and SEO.

Highlighted speakers include Ivan Ostojić, Chief Business Officer of Infobip, and Vince Lynch, CEO of IV.AI. Ostojić leads the business strategy for Infobip, a global cloud communications platform. Meanwhile, Lynch heads IV.AI, an artificial intelligence platform collaborating with companies like Netflix, Uber, and Samsung to integrate advanced tools into customer-oriented systems.
