Google has announced that it will shut down Ads Creative Studio by the end of March 2025, marking the conclusion of a process that will take place in several phases. The company is shifting its focus toward new growth areas and enhancing its collaboration with agencies and creative partners to offer personalized campaigns.
Ads Creative Studio is Google’s creative campaign management platform, allowing users to create ads, manage creative assets, share them with media teams, and facilitate a unified workflow for video and display ads.
This means that if you have been using Ads Creative Studio to customize your ads, you will now need to turn to other services or tools. Google has expressed confidence that its partners “have the expertise to deliver exceptional, personalized creative campaigns at scale, tailored to the unique needs of their clients.”
For YouTube campaigns, it is recommended to hire external partners. For Display campaigns, Studio remains available for both dynamic and non-dynamic workflows. However, there is also the option to collaborate with external creative solutions or partners.
As with any major change, the shutdown of Ads Creative Studio will not happen overnight. Google has outlined a gradual process to facilitate the transition for advertisers. This process includes the following phases:
Google has specified that editing existing projects, exporting projects to available media platforms, adding new assets, and adding new users will remain possible until the platform is fully discontinued.
