1. Home Depot Mexico

This US-based retailer offers all the necessary products for home improvement, hardware, DIY and construction materials. Home Depot Mexico has been in the local market for around 20 years and has 119 physical stores, from which it leads the sale of products for remodeling Mexican homes. Its online catalogue is very extensive for home improvement, white goods, bathrooms, kitchens, hardware, garden, cleaning, construction materials, paints, floors, lighting, among others.

After 23 years, Home Depot currently owns 129 physical stores all over Mexico and more than 19,000 associates. They work with local suppliers to impulse local business in the country as 80% of products sold come from mexican suppliers.

2. Amazon Mexico

Amazon arrived in Mexico in 2016 and since then it has continued to attract a multitude of consumers with its multiple programs and promotions like Amazon Prime and Amazon Cash.

In addition, it is among the favorite marketplaces of local SMEs that seek to boost their sales throughout the year. Its growth has been favored by the fact that it has its own store in Mexico (the only Latin American country that has one) and they offer a wide range of products, sold by Amazon Mexico, as well as sellers who use their large marketplace.

3. Farmacias del Ahorro

Farmacias del Ahorro was founded in 1991 with only two branches and 30 employees. Today it has 1,600 branches throughout Mexico. They have an average of more than 11 million visits per month. 

They have their famous “Monedero del Ahorro” program, where money is accumulated and being part of this affiliate program allows you to get discounts when buying at any of their online stores. This electronic money has no expiration date and can be used whenever you want.

4. Liverpool

El Puerto de Liverpool is the retailer that has the largest chain of department stores in Mexico and a history that dates back to 1847.

Jean-Baptiste Ebrard started to sell ribbons, laces and lace in a trunk in downtown Mexico City.After some years, Ebrard decided to differenciate by selling other products such as clothing, so he began to buy merchandise in Europe and shipped it to Mexico through the Port of Liverpool, hence the name of the department store. 

He died in 1895 and the company passed into the hands of a group of French partners who took advantage of the popularity that the project had already gained to continue expanding it and thus establish it in a store instead of continuing to be a trunk. Now, it has more than 123 Liverpool stores, 157 Suburbia stores and 28 shopping centers and its eCommerce that distributes to the entire Republic.

5. Petco Mexico

It was founded in 1965 with the aim stablishing new standards in pet care by providing wellness and creating communities that deepen the pet-pet parent bond.

They operate more than 1,500 branches across the United States, Mexico and Puerto Rico. They also owns a growing network of more than 100 in-store veterinary hospitals. As added value to their brand, they also give resources and information to know more about pet health. They founded in 1999 Petco Love as an initiative to help pet communitiess and families with pets stronger.

They have products such as food or accessories for cats, dogs, fishes, small pets (hamsters, rats, etc), birds and reptiles. As well as vet products for cats, dogs, horses and other animals.

6. Office Depot Mexico

It was created in 1986 in Florida. It operates in the U.S. under the Office Depot and Office Max brands with more than 1,400 retail stores in the country. They entered the Mexican market via joint-venture with Grupo Gigante. The company’s portfolio of brands includes Ativa, TUL, Foray, Realspace, and DiVOGA.

This online store focuses on selling office supplies, school supplies, technology, computers and office furniture. In addition, they also provide printing services and personalized items such as: photocopies, personalized stamps, internet rental and even document delivery.

7. Comex

Comex is an online store focused on home decoration through painting and coating of structures. It belongs to PPG Industries.
