The success of this massive event, focused on amateur boxing matches among content creators, is reaffirmed year after year, and increasingly more brands compete for a prominent position as sponsors. Let us review which brands were present at this major online showcase and which actions were the most notable.
On July 26, the La Cartuja Stadium in Seville hosted the fifth edition of La Velada del Año, a spectacle that lasted nearly seven hours and was broadcast via Ibai Llanos’s Twitch channel. The event featured seven boxing matches among male and female content creators, as well as seven concerts to entertain the 80,000 people who experienced it live from La Cartuja and the millions connected via streaming.
This year, the brands responsible for sponsoring La Velada del Año V were: Revolut, Alsa, Grefusa, Spotify, Vicio, Coca Cola, InfoJobs, Nothing (R), CeraVe, Mahou, G-Shock, and Maxibon. Most of these had already sponsored the event in previous years, allowing us to confirm that Ibai and La Velada maintain strong partnerships which yield significant benefits for their collaborators.
Alsa is a spanish transport company that not only provided service to event attendees but also handled transportation for the content creators featured in the show. However, the effort did not end there; in the middle of the broadcast, a influencer interrupted with a message for Ibai. This individual turned out to be Peldanyos, a famous creator who participated in La Velada 4 and who, on this occasion, returned to announce that spanish individuals aged 18 to 30 can now find journeys with Alsa for less than 3.64 € as part of the “Verano Joven” campaign.

CeraVe managed to stand out and integrate seamlessly with the event, resulting in an action that was both surprising and coherent. The skincare brand introduced its own fighter: CeraVestia. This contender faced off against (and won, naturally) Sequedad y Picor (“Dryness and Itchiness”), symbolizing the battle between the product and the symptoms it combats. Additionally, CeraVe held a giveaway for a year’s supply of products and a free gym membership.

Grefusa, known in Spain as wone of the most famous snack brands, dispatched its reporters to gather gossip and organize betting pools by surveying both the event attendees and influencers who were invited. However, their efforts extended further, as Grefusito, the brand’s mascot, made several featured appearances on stage, commanding the spotlight.

For its part, Revolut generated significant hype regarding the action it would execute during the live stream, but the final result did not entirely convince the audience. As a neobank, it was granted a free hand to carry out any advertising proposal it desired, thanks to having won a “bet” with Ibai by reaching 5 million customers in Spain. This culminated in a mysterious red button that the streamer needed to press to initiate the action.
Once Ibai pressed the button, a promotional video began in which Revolut thanked its customers for their support and promised a reward. This was followed by a QR code to scan, the appearance of ninjas in the stadium, the delivery of a Revolut card to Ibai and… the announcement of the same promotion as in previous years: become a new customer and receive this reward.
This fast food brand also chose to introduce a former fighter from La Velada; in this case, Mister Jagger. He appeared in the ring to announce the Guante de Oro de Vicio prize drawing and ended up participating in a match against an “impromptu” audience member.
